Thanks for informing us.

The reason being is so we can suspend your card for the period u are away.

Members who did not inform us that they have been away always find their cards deleted from the system and not renewed. This is because our system has a given quota of the number of times each card should be utilised. If anyone has been overseas, naturally their cards are under utilised. Hence, the system will deem the cards inactive and not renew the cards and delete them from the system.

So i have plenty of members calling in to ask why their card was not renewed. And in order for me to reinstate their cards, i need to see proof of document that they have been overseas. Namely by asking them to fax me copies of the pages of their passport which indicates the dates they went away. That as you can tell is a hassle.

Therefore we encourage members to inform us should they feel that they are not able to "clock" in enough visits due to whatever reasons that may be. It could be going away overseas, pregnancy, or even busy at work.

-Shrugs- I didn't know I had to inform them and I didn't inform them the first time I went overseas and all that. Hopefully they wouldn't cancel my card now that i've told them about my situation.
