Grandma

You know it's really weird when you start missing someone else's grandma instead of your own.

I've been thinking of Moses's grandma for a few days already. I don't know why, she just pops into my mind very so often these days. I think that's called missing someone.

I don't always visit her and when I do, we seldom communicate much but I respect her very a lot. I left on a Sat evening if you rem, and in the afternoon I went to Moses's place to tell his mum I'm leaving cuz she wanted to see me off but I didn't want her to, but she said she had something for me. So I went to look for her, then she gave me a number of things and I appreciate those very much although I'm not a very enthusiastic believer. It's the thought that counts, really. Very touched.

Then we decided to go let his grandma know too since it was on the way. She was leaving the house to go to church but still she waited for us. When I reached to let her know I'm leaving, she almost teared! She told me something I will never forget.. "Don't forget ah ma and moses ah". She had tears welling up in her eyes when she said that anddid that mean she was afraid I'll forget her just because I am here to study? I wanted to tell her I wouldn't but I didn't know what to say I was just really very surprised and touched that she really accepts me or should I say, like me. When she had tears in her eyes, I nearly cried.

I love her more than my own grandma, I know it's a stupid thing to say but I really am not close to my grandma and my own grandma doesn't really show such affection to us unlike his.

I kept reminding Moses to tell his grandma I miss her, to let her know I NEVER forget her existence. I want her to know how touched I am for her offering to give me a red packet before I leave and for feeling what she felt. I really miss her. Sometimes I think I miss her more than I miss Moses. Haha. Sorry darling but that's a fact. Maybe I love your ah ma more than I love you. Lol.

The first place I would like to visit when I'm back would definitely be his home and his grandma's place.

The first week in Brisbane was torturing. I felt like shit. I missed home, but one msg from Moses made me forget all the shitty feeling and made me feel so touched and somehow happy.

Not exact words but yea..
"My ah ma tells me to let your parents know when I'm home or out like how I tell my mum at home. And she asked me to call your parents "papa", "mama". LOL. I told her we are not even married!"

I showed my mum and we both kept laughing. It was so funny and cute! His grandma really made me laugh so much that night. I wonder if it was being happy or just the way she says it.

Anyway, I bought this painting in the City from this guy who using spray paint, paper and round objects to make a painting. He's really good and I was very impressed. Fell in love with this piece he was drawing when I reached so I simply bought it.

I went to a party last night with Aileen, Ken, 2 Pauls, Billy, Jenny, Hurkie, Chris, Shruti, Natsuki, Sunny (I think that's how it's spelt) and met Oskar and Tommy inside.

Party's ok. I still prefer Zouk, Phuture and EVEN Momo. Lol. I just miss being in an environment where I can feel like a princess. LOL. You know how you feel so VIP in Zouk even though you don't have a membership card? I mean, bouncers don't treat you like a child unlike Chinablack. Then Momo, it's so easy to be a member imo, and you get to have tents to yourself so you don't have to squeeze with the crowd.

Wasn't very packed and music's pretty much like Momo or Phuture. But since it was Jap night, we had Japanese songs which either was too fast, faster than techno, or too slow and throw in an irritating DJ who kept screaming into the mic. Other than that, pretty enjoyable. The bartenders were females who would dance on the bar top. DJ would play a certain song, and all of them would do a choreographed dance which was pretty sexy. Quite interesting.

So I'm going to the Animal Convention tmr with my brother and Aileen. Gonna study now..
