Books.

Had a stupid but workable idea in saving money..

By spending some money on books so that I will stay home and read them.. Then I will save money by not going out! Lol.. Stupid impromptu plan lah..

We went to Orchard on Mon to get my stupid phone repaired and I wanted to treat him to a movie.. Taxi.. WAH GISELE SEXY LEI!!

It was hilarious and entertaining. Must watch. Haha. Then we went to Kinokuniya because I wanted to show him a book on the "Sisters". In a more offensive term, ah gua or ba poks.

It says about the real life people mostly based in Singapore. Even shows some that you and I have seen in Changi Village. Haha. I wanted to show him Abigail was a guy. You know the Abigail you see on TV? Yah. Then we searched for the book. While searching I saw a few books that I've read about in newspapers and magazines.

The Rape of Nanking. By Iris Chang. I read about it on Straits Times talking about the author. She commited suicide by placing a bullet through her head after writing this book because she was too emotional.

The other two books one was on high class prostitutes in Singapore. Written by this guy. Don't have the book with me now. It's at home.

Another is about SPI. Singapore Paranormal Investigators. About all the spooky things and all in Singapore. So interesting hor? haha..

Bought all three books. Didn't expect to buy anything when i entered Kinokuniya. But ever since I bought those three books I have the urge to buy more of such books about real life accounts. The content are more intense and stimulating.

Am reading The Rape of Nanking now and feel so much for those who suffered then. I must say Iris Chang is a very good author. It's unfortunate that she was too emotional about this book. Read it, you'll see that history books that were thrown to us in sec school was just a brief brief summary of how inhumane Japanese were. You will see that the acts they did to Singapore were nothing compared to what happened in Nanking (Nanjing). Ok, not that it was nothing but compared to Nanking, I think the people there suffered more.

No one wrote anything about the world most horrible massacre in such great detail.

Even the Nazis were horrified by the massacre. The most number of deaths within SIX weeks in a war in our history.

Anyways, nice book.

Christmas is coming, but first.. My birthday.. Hahahaa.. 10 Dec, MTV Asia Awards 2004 at Zouk at 7:30. Looking foward to that day. Sounds like so much fun!

Look! Milo is in his christmasy mood. Hahahaha.. So cute!!

More photos..

This picture Milo is covering his eyes cuz I turned on the lamp and it shone at his direction. He doesn't like light shining on him while he is sleeping. Haha. Cute.
